Cheliyan Healthcare PLC (Addis Ababa)
CHC is a joint venture initiative between LDHCS (holding higher share) and Chechella medical services PLC under formation in Addis Ababa with a capital of 200 million ETB at Lideta sub city. This multi-specialty tertiary care center will provide high end medical, surgical and trauma services along with state of the art and latest imaging and laboratory services. The Facility will be operational end of July 2015.
MAAL Healthcare PLC (Addis Ababa)
Established in association with three renowned and seasoned obstetrician-gynecologists and surgeon focusing on the huge unmet need for high end obstetric, gynecologic, pediatric and surgical services. The MCH and surgery specialty center is to be operational late by first week of September 2015.
Dream-Liyana Healthcare PLC
Established in collaboration with 5 seasoned specialist and sub-specialist orthopedic and neuro and spine surgeons with the vision of addressing the huge gap in high end orthopedic,trauma and neurosurgery care. The senior physicians are holding rare subspecility, has a great pool of customers in Addis Ababa and regions, Somaliland, Eritrea and other neighboring countries. It is to be operational late by first week of August 2015.
Liyana-Addis HC ShareCcompany (Gondar)
The share company is the first regional initiative of LDHCS (holding the highest share) established in association with Addis Gize Share Company and group of senior specialists practicing at Gondar comprehensive specialized referral Hospital. It will provide advanced medical and surgical services compounded with state of the art imaging services. The facility is expected to be operation mid August 2015.
Baro Advanced Diagnostic Center(Gambella)
The Gambella advanced diagnostic center initiative has come in to picture based on the request of the regions officials to collaborate in addressing the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in the region. A Multi specialty center project is to follow once the diagnostic center is operational. It is expected to be operational by the end of September 2016.
Liyana Digital Pharmaceuticals and Medical Supplies Import
This unit is established with a purpose of addressing the current gap and future need of healthcare products of the company, sister companies and the nation at large. Currently, the company has registered long list of products of reputable manufacturers from across the globe as first and sole agent and many more are under process of registration.
Juba Kidney Hospital and Diagnostic Services (South Sudan)
This project is initiated based on an invitation by the Ministry of Health of Republic of South Sudan, Honorable minister Yoland Awel and facilitation of the respective embassies in Addis Ababa and Juba.
The kidney Hospital project a PPP model between LDHCS and the MOH of Republic of South Sudan. The project is expected to be launched by October 2016
SI-Liyana Manufacturing PLC ( Addis Ababa Industrial zone)
It is a joint venture between an Indian manufacturing firm and LDHCS. The company is a well-known brand in several countries for its hospital furniture, critical care devices, turnkey operation theater devices, and modular OTs. SI Surgical LLC aims to address the significant gap in the supply of these products in Ethiopia and other African countries. The company will supply its products from its Ethiopian hub.
Liyana - OMCC Oncology Center(Sidama region, Hawassa)
LDHCS and OMCC from Luxembourg are partnering to build a cancer radiation therapy center in Ethiopia. The center will address the lack of world-class cancer radiation therapy services in Ethiopia and help to reduce the need for international referrals.
Company incorporation is underway. Adequate plot of Land secured, Site clearance for construction is underway. Bunker construction expected to be initiated by October 2016.
Regional Service Expansion
LDHCS currently has a presence in 5 geographies, including Addis Ababa, Hawassa, Gondar, Gambella, and South Sudan. The company plans to expand to 5 more regional capital cities in Ethiopia in the coming Ethiopian New Year, 2016.
The expansion will be fairly distributed across the nation, taking into account the high impact of setting up facilities in the cities and the feasibility of the project. Different business models will be utilized in the regional expansion initiatives.
Health(Medical) Insurance Project
Liyana has been working on the establishment of Medical insurance project for the last 5 years. With current positive developments in the National financial policy and regulations regarding the insurance landscape coupled with our aggressive regional expansion of facilities, LDHCS is stepping in to the Medical insurance project in collaboration with few selected promoters.
Healthcare City Project (Hawassa And Shaggar)
A multi-billion birr project proposal to the Hawassa and Shaggar city administrations. The project will involve the construction of two new hospitals in the cities. It is expected to have a significant social, environmental, and economic impact. It will retain domestic clients who are currently traveling abroad for medical care, and it will also serve as an East African hub of medical tourism, generating foreign exchange.
Liyana Boarding School Systems
LDHCS plans to expand its education system by duplicating the experience of Yanet-Liyana College of Health Sciences in the pre-school, primary school, and secondary school systems.
The system is aimed at creating an ecosystem where the next generation of great minds of the nation will be nurtured at international standards. Pilot projects will be initiated next year and scaled subsequently.
Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing
Local pharmaceuticals manufacturing and revolutionizing the supply chain management is on of the priority agenda of the Ethiopia government.
To date, local pharmaceutical products have a market share of less than 10%. LDHCS is already on boarding trusted pharma manufacturers from India in a form of domestic and foreign joint venture project.
