Liyana Digital Healthcare Solutions Share Company (LDHCS) is the first telehealth company in Ethiopia to be licensed by the Addis Ababa city FMHACA in September 2020. The Company was founded by Drs. Girma Ababi, Liul Birhanu, and Dawit Lemecha.

The driving forces behind the establishment of LDHCS were the desire and vision of Dr. Girma Ababi, CEO of LHC-PLC, to revolutionize healthcare using digital technology, and the ambition and passion of his former medical students, Drs. Liul Birhanu and Dawit Lemecha, for digital technology.

The company uses a mobile and web-based digital application called Liyana Care to treat patients remotely by physicians of their choice. The application has been widely used by patients, domestic and multinational companies. The company has also been providing home based care and outreach services by a multidisciplinary mobile medical team.

Since last year, the company has diversified its ownership base and service domain. Twenty four specialist-subspecialist physicians Liyana and Liyana Healthcare PLC joined the ownership of LDHCS. Currently, the scope of the company has expanded in service portfolio, business model and geographic presence.

Our Projects

Liyana Digital Healthcare Solutions has taken up 9 new projects that positively impact the healthcare system in East Africa. 8 of these projects get implemented in Ethiopia while one will be undertaken in South Sudan.
